Professor Ali Rıza Cenk CELEBI, MD, FEBO, FICO, FICS, FACS, MRCSEd, BSc, MSc, PhDc, is Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology in the Department of Ophthalmology at Istanbul Health and Technology University, Istanbul., He earned his medical degree at Hacettepe University School of Medicine in 2005 (third in his class) and completed his ophthalmology residency there in 2010 Prof. Celebi subsequently pursued subspecialty fellowships in neuro-ophthalmology and glaucoma at Radboud University Medical Center (2015) and Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (2016), respectively. He holds a Master’s Degree in Biological Data Science He is driving research on the development of big data for the Turkish Ophthalmological Society‐ more often AI-enabled decision-support systems in ophthalmology. An enthusiastic coder and as currently holding a BSc degree in computer programming and advocate for translational research, he has authored over 50 peer reviewed publications (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=celebi+ar&sort=date) in high‐impact journals including *Scientific Reports* and *Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science*. In recognition of his academic excellence, he was conferred the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh diploma—one of the first eye surgeon in Turkey to receive this honor—in April 2022. Prof. Celebi serves as an active member of the Turkish Ophthalmological Society and lectures internationally on ophthalmic biotechnology, practical Use of Artificial Intelligence in medicine (hands-on course) His multidisciplinary work and translational approach bridges clinical practice and data science to pioneer truly personalized, technology-driven eye care. As the pioneer of artificial intelligence applications in ophthalmology in his country—an award winner in this field—and having worked in this discipline since 2016, Prof. Celebi continues at full speed to publish scientific articles and deliver presentations at national and international meetings in order to foster AI awareness throughout world.
